GetHomeSafe Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance

Dunedin, NZ — August 2026 — GetHomeSafe, a lone worker safety monitoring platform trusted by organisations across New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit, conducted independently by Sensiba.

When organisations choose GetHomeSafe, they're trusting us with some of their most sensitive data, real-time location, health and incident information, shift schedules, and emergency contacts. That's not a responsibility we take lightly.

Our core promise has always been a simple question: are your people safe? Answering it means monitoring workers in real time, which means holding data that matters. Security isn't a separate initiative from safety, it's part of the same commitment. If we're going to ask people to trust us with their physical safety, the way we handle their data has to meet the same standard.

That's why we pursued SOC 2 Type 2, and why we're proud to share that the audit is now complete, with the attestation signed on 31 July 2026.

What SOC 2 Type 2 actually means

SOC 2 is a framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that evaluates how a company manages data. There are two types of SOC 2 audit, and the distinction matters.

A Type 1 audit looks at whether the right controls are in place at a single point in time, a snapshot. A Type 2 audit goes further: it tests whether those controls actually worked, consistently, over a sustained period. Our audit covered 1 April to 30 June 2026 and assessed three Trust Services Criteria, Security, Availability, and Confidentiality, across the GetHomeSafe SaaS platform.

In short, Type 2 is the harder bar. It's not enough to have good policies on paper; you have to prove they hold up in practice, day after day.

Why this matters for our customers

For customers already using GetHomeSafe, and for those evaluating us as a vendor, this has practical benefits.

Simpler procurement and due diligence. Enterprise and government customers often spend weeks working through security questionnaires and vendor assessments. A SOC 2 Type 2 report gives procurement and IT teams independent, third-party evidence that our controls meet a globally recognised standard, which means fewer questions and faster approvals.

A vetted, lower-risk vendor. Many of our customers operate under their own privacy obligations , the NZ Privacy Act 2020, Australian Privacy Principles, UK GDPR, or Canadian equivalents. Choosing a SOC 2 Type 2 compliant vendor makes their own compliance posture stronger and their risk assessments simpler.

Compliance is a milestone, not a finish line. SOC 2 Type 2 requires proving that controls work continuously, and that's exactly how we approach security at GetHomeSafe.

Our ongoing programme includes annual independent security reviews and penetration testing, a 99.9% uptime commitment (safety monitoring can't go down, so we treat reliability as a security issue), and continuous monitoring across the platform. This isn't "set and forget", it's how we operate every day.

The attestation is evidence of a security culture, not a one-off certificate.
