GPDR - Improvements to our Privacy Policy
25 May 2018
At GetHomeSafe privacy and trust is a fundamental value of why we exist. We take great pride in being trusted by you to process, store and care for your personal information.
In preparation for the General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) for European citizens, we have given our privacy policy and practices a refresh and made several improvements to our privacy policy. You will be pleased to know that how we have been processing and storing your personal information was more or less compliant with the new GDPR already.
The only feature changes we have made to facilitate the GDPR and this new policy is accepting the policy and terms and conditions for first-time users or accepting changes as an existing user will be much more explicit with a new step in the signup process or upon the next sign in for new users.
The improvements we have made to our policy do not reflect any major changes to how we provide services to you or how we handle your personal information, they simply make what we already do much clearer and in plain English.
In summary, the changes to our privacy policy are a much clearer explanation of:
- what personal information is required and why it is required to use the software
- what types of information can be stored as content
- how personal information is input or generated as content within the software
- what Get Home Safe can and can not use your personal information for
If you have any questions or would like confirmation of any aspect of the new policy or privacy in general, please contact us.
