GetHomeSafe Version 4.27 is now live with satellite connectivity through One NZ, marking a major milestone for lone and remote worker safety.

For the first time, GetHomeSafe can be used to its full capacity beyond traditional cellular coverage, using satellite connectivity on compatible mobile devices and plans. This represents a generational shift for the lone and remote worker safety industry.

Powerful safety, no matter where work takes you

With Version 4.27, workers operating beyond mobile coverage can continue to use GetHomeSafe as intended — not in a reduced or “fallback” mode, but with full functionality.

All key welfare and safety events are supported regardless of location, including:

  • Starting a detailed Work & Journey Plan
  • Prestart JHA and Take Five risk assessments
  • Check-ins
  • Safety observations
  • Man-down alerting
  • Location sharing
  • Site check-in and check-out
  • Time and mileage recording
  • Duress alerts
  • HomeSafe confirmations

This means organisations no longer need to compromise safety processes simply because work happens outside cellular coverage.
